At the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) 1700 people work across diverse research areas, including nanotechnology, astronomy, agriculture, and the environment. Seeking to provide a new organizational structure to augment their work processes, LAVA designed a 17-storey innovation tower around a set of atria—opening a new era of innovation and collaboration. The iconic building is known for combining an energy efficient design with a modern interpretation of the local culture.

The German Pavilion at Expo Osaka 2025 was a built manifesto of circular design, educating visitors on the impact of architecture on the planet. Under the title Wa! Germany the pavilion envisions a radical architectural position: a regenerative future where buildings don’t just minimize harm but actively contribute to ecological balance. Through circular design and bio-based materials the pavilion embodied architecture’s shift from static object to adaptive, intelligent system.
