"Beyond Beauty: Designing Places That Tell Stories"
This keynote explores how architecture can go beyond aesthetics to create places that communicate, evoke memories, and shape human experience. The four projects represent different approaches to architectural storytelling: Sirelis explores memory and local identity; Cabinet reinterprets history through adaptive reuse; Joy Studio translates imagination into architecture; and AI9 expresses innovation through its architectural form. The lecture focuses on how stories become spatial experiences that remain with people after they leave.

"Mass timber architecture in Armenia"
Through TUMO Masis and the Arleam Farm complex, this lecture examines the tectonic emergence of structural mass timber in Armenia across educational and agricultural scales, challenging the hegemony of regional concrete and masonry. The presentation traces a clear architectural methodology: navigating seismic ductility through exposed frame geometries, precision dry-joint prefabrication, and the spatial performance of timber envelopes in a continental climate. Attendees will discover how hybrid structural nodes, rhythmic post-and-beam assemblies, and the raw tactile honesty of exposed wood synthesize envelope and skeleton into a singular, carbon-conscious spatial language.

What if architecture, informed by scientific inquiry, could spark our imagination and redefine our understanding of the built world?

"Public Sphere: in two scales."
In my presentation, I will discuss how our projects attempt to keep the public realm active within Iran’s current social, economic, and political context. The public realm, institutions, and interactions among people may be among the few means through which we can endure the unstable conditions of the country. This is why these two projects—the Poet’s House and Kish Mixed-Use Center—one operating at a large urban scale and the other at an even larger scale, aim to demonstrate how the public realm can remain active and resilient within an architectural project.
